Nursery Interior Design and Preschool Design in Ankara
Nursery and preschool spaces designed at a child’s height — safe, airy and inspiring curiosity — creating an environment that reassures parents from their very first visit.
Overview
When a family is looking for a nursery, they tour the space first. How bright the classrooms are, how soft the corners are, whether the toilets are at a child’s height, how safe the play area is — much of the decision is made during this visit. That is why nursery interior design in Ankara must serve both the child’s development and the family’s trust.
At Çayyolu Architecture & Construction, we design and fit out new nurseries, day-care centres and preschools in Ankara. If you want to convert a detached house or the ground floor of a building into a nursery, or renovate your existing school, we manage the process from start to finish with 20 years of hands-on experience in preschool renovation and interior design.

A Closer Look
Child Scale and Safety Come First
In a nursery, everything is planned from a child’s point of view: window heights, door handles, basins, coat hooks and toy shelves should be at a level children can use on their own. This supports children’s self-confidence and makes the teachers’ work easier.
On the safety side, we avoid sharp corners, consider details on doors that prevent fingers from getting trapped, and plan sockets and electrical points out of children’s reach. For paints, finishes and furniture materials, we choose products suitable for use by children. We carry out all planning in line with the relevant regulations and authority requirements, and clarify the necessary points together with you before opening.

Colour, Light and Acoustics in Nursery Interior Design
Nurseries are often associated with vivid, brightly coloured walls. Yet too much intense colour and pattern can tire children and make it harder to concentrate. We generally recommend a calm, natural base with controlled accents of colour in specific areas; that way, the children’s drawings and activity materials also become the colour of the space.
Natural light is a nursery’s most valuable material. We use layouts that keep windows clear and soft artificial lighting that complements daylight. Sound-absorbing ceiling and wall solutions that reduce the echo of children’s voices make the day calmer for both children and teachers.

Converting a Building into a Nursery
Nurseries are often set up in a detached house or on the ground floor of a building. Such a conversion may involve adding more washrooms, renewing the plumbing and wiring, thermal insulation and, if necessary, assessing the building’s structural system. Structural matters are addressed through calculations by a licensed engineer; our home structural strengthening and turnkey renovation teams work under the same coordination throughout this process.
If you are looking for premises for a nursery, we recommend touring the space together before signing a contract. We assess on site issues such as garden use, entrance security, whether washrooms can be added and natural light, and give you a clear picture. To arrange this, you can request a free site visit or call us directly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can’t find the answer you are looking for? Give us a call — we will listen to your project and answer your questions right away.
0312 240 51 51Which colours should be chosen for nursery interior design?
We recommend a calm, natural base with controlled accents of colour in specific areas. Too much intense colour and pattern can tire children; softer tones can be chosen for rest rooms and livelier ones for activity areas.
What are the interior requirements for opening a nursery?
The requirements are set by the relevant regulations and the authority the nursery reports to. We plan in line with these requirements and clarify any uncertain points with you before work begins. We recommend confirming the current requirements with the relevant authority.
Do you make the nursery furniture yourselves?
We can make cabinets, shelves, coat racks and rest units to measure for your space. If you prefer ready-made products, we also help with selection and layout.
How long does a preschool fit-out take?
The duration depends on the scope of the renovation and furniture production. We discuss your opening date from the outset and, after the site visit, provide a work programme to match it.
How is the cost of nursery interior design determined?
The floor area, washroom and plumbing requirements, and the scope of materials and furniture determine the cost. After a free site visit, we provide a clear, itemised quotation.
