Hair Salon Interior Design and Fit-Out in Ankara
A salon where your clients feel good in the mirror and your team works in comfort; design, services and furniture from a single source.
Overview
A hair salon is a place where clients spend an hour, sometimes half a day. During that time, the comfort of the chair, the accuracy of the light in the mirror, the comfort at the backwash and the overall atmosphere of the salon stay in the memory just as much as the quality of the service. A well-thought-out hair salon interior design project directly encourages clients to rebook and recommend your salon to the people around them.
With 20 years of experience, Çayyolu Architecture & Construction delivers hair salon design, salon fit-outs and salon furniture manufacturing in Ankara on a turnkey basis. Whether it is a women’s, men’s or unisex salon, a boutique studio or a large team-based centre, we begin the design by understanding how you work and who your clients are.
Our Services
What Our Hair Salon Design Covers
Chair and station layout
We make efficient use of the salon’s capacity while keeping enough space between workstations for stylists to move freely.
Backwash area
We plan the backwash units in a calm, comfortable corner that respects client privacy, together with the hot water and drainage infrastructure.
Mirror and lighting design
We design mirror lighting that shows hair colour accurately and leaves no shadows on the face, separately from the salon’s general lighting.
Reception and waiting area
We design the reception, waiting seats and retail shelving to strengthen the salon’s first impression.
Salon furniture
We make workstations, mirror consoles, supply cabinets and the reception desk to measure for your salon.
Staff and storage areas
We position the colour preparation corner, towel and supply storage and the staff break area out of clients’ sight.

A Closer Look
How Is a Hair Salon Fit-Out Done?
A successful hair salon fit-out starts with understanding the workflow. The client walks in, is greeted, waits, moves to the backwash, sits in the chair, waits while the colour develops, is blow-dried and pays. Throughout this journey, clients should not have to wander around the salon unnecessarily, and stylists should be able to reach their supplies easily.
We first resolve this flow on the plan, then move on to the concept. We make sure the flooring resists dye and chemicals and is easy to sweep cut hair from, and that wall finishes are chosen to withstand moisture and steam. Whether your salon’s style is minimal, warm and natural, or luxurious, the design is built on these technical foundations.
02
Opening Schedule and Uninterrupted Service
Client loyalty in hair salons depends on the booking routine; a long closure can lead clients to try another salon. If you are opening a new salon, we agree your opening date at the survey; if you are refurbishing an existing one, we identify together the period that will be least affected.
By starting the manufacture of bespoke furniture alongside the on-site work, we shorten the time spent on site. The timeline is set by the scope of the job; after the survey we send you a firm quotation and a work schedule tailored to your salon in writing. To discuss the timetable, call us or message us on WhatsApp.
03
Brand Identity, Comfort and General Compliance
Your salon’s name, logo and visual language on social media should carry through into the space. With this in mind, we pay particular attention to the mirror area and the entrance, where clients often take photos to share. In a men’s barbershop, dark tones and natural wood may take centre stage; in a boutique women’s salon, soft colours and elegant details; the choice is shaped entirely by your clientele.
If you sell products, placing the retail shelf within view of the waiting area makes it easier for clients to buy the product used on them in the salon. Small as it may seem, this arrangement can give your salon an extra revenue stream.
In salons where chemical products are used, good ventilation, sufficient electrical circuits for dryers and appliances, safe plumbing in wet areas and fire safety are fundamental. We carry out the work in line with these general requirements and bring in licensed engineering support where needed.
- Sufficient, safe sockets at every station
- Ventilation in the colour preparation area
- Chemical-resistant, easy-to-clean flooring
- Comfortable height and neck support at the backwash units

Frequently Asked Questions
Can’t find the answer you are looking for? Give us a call — we will listen to your project and answer your questions right away.
0312 240 51 51How is a hair salon fit-out done?
First, client and staff flow is resolved on the plan; then the backwash infrastructure, mirror lighting and durable materials are defined; finally, the salon’s character is created through the concept and furniture.
How much does a hair salon fit-out cost?
The cost depends on the size of the salon, the number of stations and backwash units, the services required and your choice of materials. After a free site visit, we prepare a firm quotation specific to your project.
Do you make the salon furniture yourselves?
Yes. We custom-make workstations, mirror consoles, supply cabinets and the reception desk to fit your salon’s dimensions.
Can the salon be refurbished without closing?
For decorative refurbishments, we can spread the work across sections or closing days. Changes to the backwash area and plumbing may require a short closure; we plan this together in advance.
Which flooring is best for a hair salon?
Choose non-slip flooring that resists dye and chemicals, does not stain and lets you sweep up hair easily. During the survey, we assess suitable options for your space together.
