Flats in Oran’s first residential complexes usually have airy rooms, wide corridors and large balconies. In these homes, while we redo the plumbing, electrical wiring and wet areas from scratch, we also make the most of the generous layout with changes such as enlarging the kitchen or adding an en-suite bathroom.

In newer complexes, we leave the structural shell untouched and focus on flooring, lighting, the kitchen and storage systems. In both cases, we run the work under a single contract and a single work schedule.

In older complexes, one limit on renovating inside a flat is the building’s shared plumbing. If we spot a problem in the riser lines, we report it to you and to the building management, and we connect the new plumbing inside the flat safely to the shared lines.

For many flats in Oran, the most valuable feature is the city view. During the renovation, we recommend positioning the living area, work corner or kitchen counter to take in this view. Where needed, we replace window frames with slimmer profiles and larger glazing, which also reduces heat loss.

In flats on Oran’s higher ground, wind and solar load must also be taken into account. On south- and west-facing elevations we recommend glazing and blind systems that provide solar control, while on north-facing elevations we recommend frames with enhanced insulation.
