Tell us about your furniture project in Beysukent

In Beysukent’s long-established detached houses and low-rise complexes, renewing furniture often means looking at the building itself too. Condensation behind a cabinet in the attic, mould in a wardrobe set against an external wall, or walls that are not quite plumb directly affect the lifespan of new furniture. That is why we begin our furniture design in Beysukent projects by examining the walls, roof and services.

In Beysukent, a district right next to Konutkent and close to our office, we can come by at short notice to take measurements, show samples and supervise installation. With 20 years of experience, Çayyolu Architecture & Construction runs technical drawings, production follow-up and installation with a single team.

    Made-to-Measure Furniture Requests in Beysukent

The topics we work on most often in villas and complex homes:

    01

    Replacing old timber cabinets

We remove the original timber cabinets and design new built-in wardrobes that conceal uneven walls with trim and filler details.

    02

    Attic and loft storage

We plan carcasses cut to the slope of the roof and drawer modules for knee-height walls.

    03

    Cloakroom at the garden entrance

In homes closely connected to the garden, we build entrance cabinets with durable surfaces for boots, coats and garden equipment.

    A Closer Look

The Building First, Then the Furniture

When renovating villas in Beysukent, the order of work directly affects the budget. A new cabinet built under a leaking roof, or a wardrobe set against a poorly insulated external wall, can soon develop damp and odour problems. During the site survey we examine the walls where the furniture will stand with this in mind.

If there is a problem, we recommend solving its source first: once the roof repair, insulation or plumbing leak has been dealt with, we move on to the furniture plan. In minor cases, separating the carcass from the wall with a ventilation gap and choosing a moisture-resistant back panel may be enough.

Walls that are not perfectly plumb are also common in older buildings. We take measurements at more than one level and resolve the differences in the technical drawing with trim and filler details, so that in our bespoke furniture in Beysukent projects the doors close properly and no side gaps are left.

In older buildings, sockets and switches that end up behind the furniture must also be addressed. In wiring laid many years ago, a socket or junction box hidden behind a new cabinet may mean dismantling the cabinet if a fault occurs later. We mark these points during the site survey and complete the necessary relocation work with a licensed electrician before installation.

    • Damp checks on external walls and in the attic
    • Carcass details with a ventilation gap
    • Trim and filler for uneven walls
    • Insulation first, then furniture, if necessary

    Practical Solutions in Low-Rise Complexes

In Beysukent’s low-rise complex homes, furniture needs are usually concentrated in the entrance hall, corridors and children’s rooms. In these areas, floor-to-ceiling cabinets, cloakroom units with integrated bench seating and multi-purpose desks significantly increase the usable space of the home.

If you are planning a comprehensive renovation of your flat, putting the furniture work on the same schedule as the flooring, painting and electrical work prevents tradespeople and materials from coming and going several times. We complete socket relocation and in-cabinet lighting connections with a licensed electrician before installation. For larger jobs, take a look at our turnkey renovation in Beysukent page.

Another frequent request from villa owners is garden-related storage. Closed but ventilated cabinets for garden tools, cushions and seasonal items, and a cloakroom unit with mud- and water-resistant surfaces at the garden entrance, help keep the inside of the home tidier. We keep these made-to-measure furniture in Beysukent solutions in harmony with the home’s interior design language.

In low-rise complexes, we also find out the rules for common areas from the start when it comes to furniture installation. The width of the stairwell, door dimensions and installation hours determine how large pieces will be carried in and which pieces will be assembled on site. By taking these measurements during the site survey, we avoid surprises on installation day.

Samples at the Office, Decisions at Your Home

Throwing out old furniture entirely is not always necessary. Renewing the doors and internal layout of a timber cabinet with a sound carcass and dimensions that suit your use can make more sense in terms of both budget and the character of the home. We discuss openly during the site survey which pieces can be kept.

During the furniture-making process in Beysukent, you can examine door and carcass samples together with us at our office or, if you prefer, bring the samples home and decide in the light where the furniture will stand. We follow production according to the approved drawing and set the installation day together.

    0312 240 51 51
There is mould behind the wardrobe in my older villa; will a new wardrobe be enough?

A new wardrobe will not give a lasting result unless the source of the mould is dealt with. We first investigate where the damp is coming from, recommend insulation or roof repair if needed, and then plan the furniture.

Can cabinets be built in the attic?

Yes. We cut the carcasses to the slope of the roof and use drawer modules along low walls. If there is a leak or insulation problem in the roof, we recommend solving that first.

Do the walls need to be straight for made-to-measure furniture in Beysukent?

No. We take measurements at more than one level and conceal differences in the walls and ceiling with trim and filler details.

    Where is your furniture made?

We manage the design, technical drawings, production follow-up and installation. We check every stage of production for compliance with the approved drawing and materials list.

When will I be given a price?

Once the measurements and design are finalised, we give you a written quotation, itemised piece by piece according to the chosen materials and hardware.
