External Wall Insulation
External Wall Insulation in Beysukent
In Beysukent’s long-established buildings, we tackle heat loss as a whole, from the roof to the balconies, rather than limiting it to the façade.
Overview
When Beysukent’s villas and blocks from the cooperative era were built, thermal insulation was not the priority it is today. That is why external wall insulation in Beysukent is, for many buildings, a renovation that can make a marked difference to winter comfort.
In older buildings, heat does not escape through the walls alone. The roof, balcony slabs and the lines of beams and columns also act as thermal bridges. At Çayyolu Architecture & Construction, we base our insulation quote on a survey that takes every one of these points into account.
01
Insulation for Cooperative Villas and Semi-Detached Homes
In Beysukent’s semi-detached and terraced villas, the party wall connects the façades of two separate homes. Although it is possible to insulate just one villa, a difference in thickness and a visual mismatch appear at the junction; deciding together with your neighbour eliminates this problem.
In low-rise blocks, on the other hand, enclosed balconies and window frames added later may have left the façade looking irregular. External wall insulation is also a good opportunity to unify these irregularities into a single surface and give the building a neat, cohesive appearance.
- A joint detailing plan with the adjoining home in semi-detached villas
- Including enclosed balconies in the continuity of the insulation
- The right timing for replacing old window frames
02
An Approach That Covers the Roof and Balconies Too
If the roof of an insulated building is left uninsulated, the top-floor apartments will not achieve the expected comfort. That is why we assess the façade work together with any need for roof renewal and re-tiling, and we recommend completing the roof work while the scaffolding is in place.
The parts of balcony slabs that project out from the façade are the best-known thermal bridges. During the survey, we determine how the upper and lower surfaces in these areas will be treated and show this as a separate item in the quote.
In older buildings, the window frames are often due for replacement as well. If the frames are changed after the insulation is applied, the insulation detail around the new windows can be damaged; so if you are thinking of replacing your windows, we recommend doing it before the façade work or within the same schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can’t find the answer you are looking for? Give us a call — we will listen to your project and answer your questions right away.
0312 240 51 51Can we insulate only our side of our semi-detached villa in Beysukent?
It is technically possible, but a difference in level and appearance will appear along the party wall. We can resolve this junction with a proper detail; even so, carrying out the work at the same time as your neighbour is more advantageous in terms of both aesthetics and cost.
Is roof insulation also needed alongside external wall insulation?
If the roof has no insulation or it has deteriorated, heat loss on the upper floors will continue. During the survey, we also check the condition of your roof and tell you clearly whether it makes sense to do both jobs together.
How is the decision on external wall insulation made in a block?
In low-rise blocks, too, the façade is a common area and the decision is made at the meeting of unit owners. We recommend asking your building manager or a lawyer about the majority required.
In which season should external wall insulation be applied?
The adhesive and render layers must be applied in dry, frost-free weather. In Beysukent, we set the scaffolding and works schedule according to these conditions and try not to let the job run into the cold season.
