External Wall Insulation for Villas and Homes in İncek

On İncek’s wind-exposed hillsides, we insulate villas without spoiling the architectural character of the façade.

Overview

Most homes in İncek sit on large plots of open land. In a villa with no tall buildings around it to break the wind, every side of the façade is exposed to the elements, and requests for external wall insulation in İncek usually begin with heating bills that climb during the winter months.

Villa owners’ biggest concern is that insulation work will spoil the carefully chosen look of the façade. We design the external thermal insulation with details that work with different surfaces such as stone cladding, composite panels and decorative render, preserving the architectural character of your villa.

A Closer Look

Insulating Villas While Preserving the Character of the Façade

In İncek’s villas, the façade rarely consists of a single material; a stone-clad plinth, rendered upper floors and timber or composite details often appear together. External insulation requires a different junction solution for each surface, and these transitions need to be resolved with care.

In stone-clad areas, whether the insulation will sit behind the cladding or be provided by a different system is decided during the site survey. Our aim is for people looking from outside to notice the care taken over the façade, not the presence of insulation. That is why we show you the junction solutions we propose with drawings and samples before construction, and do not proceed without your approval.

  • Clean transition details between stone, render and composite surfaces
  • Finishes that work with eaves, balustrades and window surrounds
  • Compliance with shared colour and texture decisions in villa complexes

02

Tackling Heat Loss as a Whole on Open Land

In a wind-exposed building, insulating the walls alone may not be enough. Roof and terrace slabs, basement walls and conservatory junctions are also points where heat escapes, which is why we recommend planning the façade work together with roof renovation and insulation works.

In İncek’s residential complexes, on the other hand, the decision is made by the flat owners’ board and the work follows a shared schedule. Unlike villas, here the duration of the scaffolding and residents’ use of the garden and car park are decisive. If the complex management wishes, we show sample details and material samples to the management board on site before the decision meeting.

Can external insulation be applied to a stone-clad villa façade?

Yes, but the method depends on the condition of the cladding. For sound stone cladding that you want to keep, a different solution is used; where the cladding is due for renewal, rebuilding it together with the insulation is considered. We make the decision together during the site survey.

Can we choose the façade colour ourselves in our villa complex?

For a detached villa, the decision is yours. In villa complexes, however, the management plan may include rules on the appearance of the façades; we recommend confirming with your complex management before work begins.

When is the best time for external insulation in İncek?

Adhesive and render must be applied in frost-free, dry weather. That is why we plan the schedule around the weather and aim to complete the work before winter sets in.

How is the insulation thickness decided?

The thickness is determined by taking the thermal insulation calculation and the characteristics of the building into account. For villas on open land, we make sure this calculation is done carefully and that its results are clearly explained to you.
